Bill is a founding partner of Denison Consulting, and co-author of the Denison Organizational Culture Survey (DOCS) and the Denison 360 Leadership Development Survey (LDS 360). “We’re proud that the surveys constitute one of the world’s most renowned organizational and leadership diagnostic and prescriptive systems, have been translated into over fifty languages, and have been used by over five thousand organizations globally,” Bill explains.

Bill’s teaching and consulting focus on organizational culture and leadership and its impact on the bottom line, executive coaching and advising, and enhancing team effectiveness. His clients include Morgan Stanley, JetBlue Airways, the Pentagon, Sun Capital Partners, the Department of Defense, the National Cancer Institute, the National Institutes of Health, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Bar Louie, and Thales.

In over 30 years of working with organizations to bring about organizational change and effectiveness, Bill has broadened and refined his areas of expertise to include organizational culture diagnosis, measurement and change, leadership development, stress and change management, and enhancing team effectiveness. He is especially proficient at providing consulting and coaching to senior level executives.

Currently, Bill serves as a primary resource consultant to Vistage International, an association of CEOs and business owners.

Prior to his involvement with Denison Consulting, Bill was President of Human Synergistics, an internationally recognized human resource management firm, and Director of the Center for Management Development at General Motors Institute. Earlier in his career, he founded a crisis intervention, medical clinic, and suicide prevention center for lower income residents in the Detroit area.

Bill earned his Master of Labor and Industrial Relations and his Master of Educational Administration from Michigan State University.
